Mission Statement
 
Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association Youth League(WaGLAX) is a developmental, athletic organization that aspires to provide a high-quality experience to every athlete. A high-quality experience is one in which every athlete
 

1. Has fun playing the game
2. Feels like an important member of the team
3. Learns "life lessons" that have value beyond the playing field
4. Learns the skills, tactics and strategies of lacrosse and improves as a player

WaGLAX is committed to creating a positive culture in which coaches, parents, fans, umpires and athletes work together to achieve this mission.

Vision Objectives Statement

 
1.     Grow Women’s Lacrosse in Washington State for Youth Ages 1st grade through 8^th grade.
 
2.     Provide Guidance to clubs and programs for growth of the Women’s Lacrosse among youth in Washington State.
 
3.     Adopt Rules and Guidelines for Youth Women’s Lacrosse consistent with US Lacrosse, US Lacrosse – Washington Chapter and the Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association High School Division. The Youth Division recognizes that their rules and guidelines may not be the same as these organizations, but will work to make them not inconsistent with the intent of these organizations rules and guidelines.
 
4.     To the extent possible, advance development of fields wherever potentially available with Women’s lacrosse in mind.
 
5.     Support Washington Women’s Lacrosse Umpire Association in their efforts to recruit, train and maintain Women’s Lacrosse Umpires.  
 
6.     Encourage development of Women’s Lacrosse in Organizations, Clubs, and Schools throughout Washington by supporting these organizational structures.

Full Checking requires 2 adult locally rated umpires (2 year locals and 13-15 games at JV or above)
Premier Play:  Premier Play will only constitute the top 3% of players.
6 teams are needed to make a viable division
                1 premier team for every 15-20 teams 
                Premier Team will be no more than 18 players
