2021 SPRING SEASON - REGISTER HERE
MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM INFORMATION U13 + U15  (Grades 5-6 and 7-8)

 

Welcome to all returning and new middle school players in grades 5-8. We are looking forward to an exciting season filled with sportsmanship, teamwork and fun! Please find information for the 2021 Spring Season programs including practice schedule, registration and game information listed below. Limited financial need scholarships are accepted. The health and safety of our players and coaches is at the heart of everything we do within the MIGLAX program. In light of COVID-19, we’ve dedicated our focus to providing all participants a safe environment to play by following protocols put in place by our health and government officials. Our goal is to continue practicing and developing play; improve hand-eye coordination, footwork, shooting skills; advance cardiovascular and lacrosse fitness in a supportive group setting for enhanced mental and physical health.

MANDATORY: Please complete the following prior to your player's first practice.

U13 Division (5th/6th Grades) - Register Here

The 5th/6th grade program is developmental in nature and we typically field two balanced teams. Practices are held twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour and a half per practice. Games are held on Saturdays and some Sundays. They are played on a full size field with a 12 vs 12 format. There is a parent commitment required for participation. 

Dates:  Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 9 – June 13, 2021

The following weekends players will have practice or scrimmages:

March 20 (10-12pm @ IMS Turf)

March 27 (9:15-11am @ IMS Turf)

April 17 (9:15-11am @ IMS Turf)

April 24 (9-10:45am @ IMS Turf, Scrimmage vs. Bainbridge 12U)

Official league games begin the weekend of May 1st and will run through June 13, 2021 (no games or practices over Memorial Day weekend or Spring Break).

Time: T/Th, 4:30-6pm

Location: IMS Grass Fields

Fee: $400

Coaches: Our girls will be coached by a combination of MIGLAX adult coaches, parent volunteers (please email   if you are interested in helping out) and MIHS varsity and JV players.


U15 Division (7th/8th Grades) - Register Here

The 7th/8th grade program will consist of an all 7th grade team and an all 8th grade team. Practices for both teams are held twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two hours. Games are held on Saturdays and some Sundays. They are played on a full size field with a 12 vs 12 format and modified checking is introduced at this age. There is a parent commitment required for participation. 

Dates:  Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 9 – June 13, 2021

The following weekends players will have practice or scrimmages:

March 20 (10-12pm @ IMS Turf)

March 27 (9:15-11am @ IMS Turf)

April 17 (9:15-11am @ IMS Turf)

April 24 (10-12pm @ IMS Turf, scrimmage vs. Bainbridge 14U)

Official league games begin the weekend of May 1st and will run through June 13, 2021 (no games or practices over Memorial Day weekend or Spring Break).

Time: T/Th, 6-8pm

Location: IMS Grass Fields

Fee: $500

Coaches: Our girls will be coached by a combination of MIGLAX adult coaches, parent volunteers (please email   if you are interested in helping out) and MIHS varsity and JV players.


All players should wear cleats, dress for the weather (rain or shine) and bring the following to each session (there will be no sharing of equipment of any kind): 

·       Waterbottle

·       Eye Gear

·       Stick

·       Mouthguard

·       Mask

Refund Policy:

Refunds of MIGLAX registration fees will only be granted in the event of a change in the status of the player. Possible reasons for granting a refund include a change in the player’s health, a change of address, a change in family status, or similar consideration.

The amount of refunds granted will be determined as follows: 

  • On or prior to program start date, 100% of the total registration fee, less $15 to cover administration fees.
  • After program start date, no refunds will be granted except for a change in the player’s health preventing that player from practicing or playing with the team or if the family is moving off Mercer Island. The amount of the refund will be pro-rated based on the length of the season remaining and will in no event exceed 50% of the registration fee, less $15 to cover administration fees.
